At last we have Gus the Globebus here with us in Forfar. We picked him up on Wednesday afternoon and spent our first night with him in the car park at the Boat Inn at Spotsborough, near Doncaster.

Pub stops are free if you have a drink there. We had a lovely meal as we have no pots and pans.

It was very pretty down beside the canal - and lovely weather - about 26 degrees - a heatwave in the UK.

The next day we drove up through England and the south of Scotland - with lovely views.

Now we are back in Forfar we are getting all the odds and ends we need like power cables, water hoses etc. We also got the aircon regassed - we probably wouldn't have bothered if the weather was normal.

Here is Glenn looking relaxed in the driving seat and also trying out the camping gear in the living room 😊

Heading off once we have checked out all the van details - starting off on the west coast of Scotland.

Also more importantly - born on the same day is my new great nephew Albie. Him and his mum Kerry are both home and well. Looking forward to seeing them on our travels. Here he is with Dad James.

Wow - I didn’t realize Kate lived there. We were just down on the canal and didn’t check out the town as we had to get back to Scotland.

It’s spelt Sprotbrough and was Kate lived as a child. And where a Douglas Bader visited too!

Congrats on Gus and Albie. Exciting on two different fronts.

Spotsborough, is that where Kate lived as a child.? Her dad was the minister there!

Happy travels, you both look very relaxed and at home in your new home📷🏡🚍
