A loooooong ferry trip

We had a good night at Ballantrae as the storm disappeared and left a sunny evening.

This is a new council Motorhome aire that is still being set up. They are providing toilets now and chemical disposal for Motorhome toilets in the future - and I'm sure water and grey water disposal.
That makes motorhoming easy.
Next morning we had a walk along the beach - interesting geology I'm sure as the sand was a strange dark brown with lots of stones. Ailsa Craig island is not far away.
Then we headed of for the 2 hour ferry to Ireland.

Half an hour before we were due to arrive in Belfast there was an announcement that the ship due to leave our dock had had a fire in its engine room. So there would be a delay. So there was an undefined time until we would be in port.
Free soft drinks were first provided - then meals.
After expecting to get off at 1.45pm - we arrived at 7.15pm! A bit of a delay on a 2 hour trip!
Luckily we had no issue finding our campsite and getting set up for the night.
