A Titanic Belfast

We started the day with a walk on the mountain overlooking Belfast that had some Bronze Age dwellings and artefacts. Unfortunately it was a bit misty so the views of Belfast were not great.
Then we went to the Titanic Experience - where the Titanic was built. It took us through the planning and building of the Titanic - then to the sinking, aftermath and finding the wreck.
The best part was the flying cart ride through the shipyard - worth the 25 minute wait.

We were now hungry and looking for an Irish lunch. We found it in the Mchughs pub, reputedly the oldest building in the city - and had boxties- fried potato cakes, Glenn's with ham and cabbage, mine with smoked salmon and vegetables. They were delicious with an Irish IPA.

Then we did a walk around the city - visiting Belfast Town Hall - with a Titanic Memorial in the garden.
There were many other interesting views - lots of old grand buildings.
We still have to see all the political murals - but tomorrow is another day.
