We have had beautiful weather for the last few days. We went for an amazing walk in Dunkeld at the Hermitage - planted as a wild garden for the Duke of Atholl with a couple of follies.
Some logs had hundreds of coins hammered into them - supposedly a gift for the fairies. They were so well hammered in there was no way they would come out again! Some very old coins - and some recent 2 pound coins - a very rich fairy.
Had a picnic beside the Rumblin' Brig waterfall - very tranquil. Glenn had a chance to study up on his birds.

Here is a snapshot of our lunch view.
On the way home via Dundee we stopped at the top of the Law Hill to get the magnificent views of the Tay with the 2 bridges - and also some oil rigs being deconstructed.

When you are there you can still see the stumps of the original Tay Bridge where the bridge collapsed in a storm in 1879 causing the loss of a full train of around 60 people.
This inspired the worst poet in the world - William McGonagall to write The Tay Bridge Disaster - a funny read.
Spending some time sitting out the back of the house in Forfar - where Mum spends all her time if not at the bowls!
Wow it looks stunning and good weather too. I think we have rain for our first week here in WA
