Cycling and Thermal Baths

It was a beautiful sunny warm morning on the farm campsite. The washing machine is free to use so we made the most of it by doing 2 loads. We also did a bit of a van tidy.
Rob, Kate and us had a quick salad lunch and then cycled off to the Prehistoric Thermal Baths 14 km away. We had an interesting ride through the villages of Padua on various cycle paths, through subways and over motorways - the only hill. The village with the baths had a lot of roadworks going on so it took some time to navigate around that to find the baths.
We found them and went in where we were given our bathrobe and towel. After changing we went out to the thermal pool and enjoyed the warmth of the pool - as it was now quite cloudy and cool. We found the various jets and streams of water giving quite strong shoulder massages.

We enjoyed that for 2 hours and the weather got cooler and cloudier. We decided it was time to go as rain was expected.
We got back on our bikes and did a much quicker cycle home. We didn’t get wet but it had been raining where the vans were. Unfortunately Kate’s washing got wet.
After an essential refreshing beer I cooked a vegetable curry and dhal for dinner. It was starting to rain so after getting all the chairs put away we all got into our cosy van for the card game 5 Crowns. It was a tightly contested game - but I was victorious in the end. It was midnight before we got to bed.
Ps - sorry there was little opportunity for photos - but I found some to give you an idea of the spa.
