Eurovelo 6 Bike path

We had a relaxing morning then set off cycling again on the eurovelo6 running alongside the csnss ask and Doubs River as Glenn wanted to get to some lakes that might have some interesting birds.

The locks in the canal and old lock houses were old and still functioning.

It was 20km to the lakes which were unfortunately fenced off. We went around and Glenn saw a few beeeaters which are unusual.

There were many lovely views on the way back and a few boats.

After 40km I was glad to get back to the campsite.

We were a little hot so went for a cooling swim in the river. We swam up to the weir and then got washed back to where we started.

We then made another paella using the smokeless barbecue. It worked well this time with a few minutes on the van stovetop to finish it off.
