Inverness to Golspie

In order for Heather and Joan to meet Gus we caught up in the hotel car park.

We also had checked out the classic cars in the car park earlier.

Heather and Joan then headed off on their trip to Culloden - and we went off to check out more of the Caledonian Canal and a wildlife area on the Moray Firth.

It was a busy place with lots of boats going through the locks from the Moray Firth. It was a nice spot for walking with lots of ducklings. Of course lots of dog walkers too!

We then headed north on our way to Golspie, stopping off to see some seals on Loch Fleet - Glenn counted 140 - some mothers and pups.

After dropping Gus at Camping@Golspie we walked through Golspie village to Helen and Rab's place - built by Helen's dad the county architect on the beach. After a gin catch up we had another Scottish meal at the Golspie Inn - Cullen Skink (smoked haddock and potato soup), and mussels for me!
